CMO Tribune

49 moves, the latest announced 21 October 2026; last recorded 23 October 2026.

Each row links the announcement, filing or report it comes from. One move a company has not confirmed is marked as reported and never counted as a seat change.

Chief growth officer seats are labelled, not counted as the CMO seat.

The CMO moves record

Appointments and departures of chief marketing officers, from company announcements, filings and established trade press, one row each with its source.

49 moves, newest announcement first.

How the record is kept

Confirmed rows cite the company's own release or newsroom, a press-release wire, an SEC filing or an established trade or business publication. Reported rows are single-outlet reports of appointments, labelled until confirmed or withdrawn within 30 days. Departures need a confirmed source. Pay rows are copied cell for cell from the Summary Compensation Table of each company's DEF 14A proxy statement; the parts are checked to add up to the filed total.

Every field of a row is checked against a passage on the page that was read: the person, the company, the title as the source writes it, the wording of the move and its date. Each move page shows that passage. Departures are recorded only from a confirmed source and without characterising why someone left.

A reported row is checked again every day for up to 30 days: it is confirmed when the company or an established publication reports it, and withdrawn otherwise. Withdrawals are logged on the corrections page. A row recorded more than 7 days after its announcement says when it was compiled, so it is never mistaken for news of that day.

This edition covers announcements from 25 June 2026 to 23 October 2026.
